Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Know the procedures work with the PC (hardware, software, net).
Using computer technology to solve problems of engineering practice.
Apply formal knowledge of software for a specific task of building disciplines.
Algorithm to discover a simple solution to the problem and use it in SW.
Using the software sort, classify, compare and illustrate the data.
Recommended Optional Programme Components

Course Contents
1. Log-in into the university network, network drives, basic principles of work within the network, e-mail usage.
2. Creation and modification of tables using text editor in the highest level.
3. Editing and writing mathematical formulas and symbols, via Equation Editor in a text editor, the highest version.
4. Principals of writing a comprehensive text with a text editor, the highest version, inserting objects, categorization, creation of active content.
5. The basic usage of the highest version of the spreadsheet. Principles of development of active grids using formulas and internal commands.
6. Formatting a spreadsheet grids highest version, creation, editing and use of lines to practical problems.
7. Matrices in a spreadsheet - addition, multiplication of matrices, matrix inverse and transpose, determinant calculation.
8. Creating different types of graphs for solving practical problems for the presentation of their work.
9. Solving problems in geotechnical engineering and construction materials with the highest version of the spreadsheet.
10. Programming and presentation of the role of statics in a spreadsheet highest version. Algorithm solution, taking into account the needs of users, data protection, and created an algorithm.
11. The principles presented in the application at the highest version, animation, audio, navigation and automatic shapes, nested presentations.
12. Test.
