Meals
VŠB-TUO runs 3 main canteens „Menza“ and several buffets.
- Menza 5 Poruba – situated at the main university campus in Poruba
(Address: Studentská 1770,700 32 Ostrava - Poruba)
- Menza Reální –located near the Faculty of Economics, centre of Ostrava
(Reální 5,701 00 Ostrava 1)
- Menza Hladnov – close to Hladnov Halls of Residence
(Kranichova 22, 710 00 Slezská Ostrava)
In addition students can choose from number of eatery within the university - Aula, Snack bar, Kruhovka, Pizzeria. There are 5 main meals prepared daily in Menza (student canteen). Pastry, sweets and cakes included and vegetarian meals as well. Auxiliary sales of food and refreshment are provided by buffets and restaurants right at the University campus in Poruba or neighbouring areas.
The cost of one main meal in Menza is approximately 40 CZK.
Students can order their meals using a valid student card only.
Lunches can be reserved at least one day in advance or you can choose from a more limited selection that is available without reservation.
