Student Associations

This organization was set up at VŠB-TU Ostrava at the end of 2010. The organization takes care of foreign students and tries to be helpful throughout the whole academic year, but particularly at the beginning during the adjustment period after arrival. The environment is very new for international students and the help from Czech students is highly appreciated. New Buddy is a non-profit organization. The Student Union is a non-profit organization established for the development of student activities and for supporting the educational process in terms of VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava. Every student who has graduated from VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava becomes a member of the Student Union. The Student Union is funded by foundations, grants and by its own business activities. Funds are used for the development and management of student activities.

 

AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Their members are interested in world issues, leadership and management.

 

 

IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. It provides students of science, engineering, technology and the applied arts with paid, course-related, technical training abroad. IAESTE aims to operate a high quality practical training exchange programme in order to enhance technical and professional development and to promote international understanding and goodwill amongst Students, Academic Institutions, Employers and the wider community.
