• 1969 - 1970 - Postgraduate study at the Department of Metalphysics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague
• 1970 - 1974 - Work on thesis in the X-ray laboratory of the Department of Solid State Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague
• 1974 - Assistant professor in Department of Solid State Physics, later renamed as Department of Semiconductors Physics
• 1974 - Degree of RNDr. (Rerum Naturalis Doctor)
• 1975 - Degree of CSc. (Candidatus Scientiarum)
• 1974 - The first daughter Pavlina was born
• 1976-1978 - X-ray diffraction study of the materials for powder metallurgy /cooperation with the industry
• 1978 - The second daughter Eva was born
• 1980 - 1986 - Work in the X-ray diffraction laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University Prague - / basic research: structure and bonding in transition metals carbides and nitrides, applied research targeted to powder metallurgy/
• 1987 - 1996 - Structure analysis of intercalates, structure-properties relationship in intercalates
• 1993 - The degree: associate professor in the field: Solid State Physics has been awarded
• 1997 - Department of Chemical Physics and Optics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University Prague, Modeling in structure analysis of intercalates, molecular crystals and liquid crystalline polymers; molecular mechanics and classical molecular dynamics combined with experiment (X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy)
