The Campus of VSB-Technical University of Ostrava is one of the largest campuses in Central Europe. In the City of Ostrava-Poruba a group of university buildings is located. Some of them are used for housing and education, in other buildings catering services, sports, cultural activities and other services are provided. In the City of Ostrava-Poruba, outside the Campus, there is Faculty of Civil Engineering in Ludvíka Podéště Street. In other parts of Ostrava other faculties and departments are located. Faculty of Safety Engineering is placed in Ostrava-Výškovice, Faculty of Economics is located downtown centre of Ostrava. Department of Languages and Social Sciences Department are located in Dr. Malý Street in the part of the city called Moravian Ostrava.
