Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering Technology I

Basic subject, in which the students will be acquainted with principles of main production methods – technologies of forming, casting and welding with due order technical terms. Subject contents tools, machines, choice of materials and method of creation of technologic production processes of simple parts included basic computations.
In subject the students will be acquainted with forming technologies, forming technologies division, basic terms of volume hot forming, basic terms of casting technology, project of casting position in mould, shrinkage of casted alloys, machining allowance, projects of models, castings and gate systems, sand mixtures, hand and machine moulding. To students the summary of basic terms and welding technologies will be shown – manual coated electrode welding, gas welding and gas brazing, oxygen cutting, defects distribution of welded joints and their detection.
