| Summary |

| The content of lectures is the basic conceptual structure of architectural typology in the area of civic buildings. Students get acquainted with elements of architectural design of civic buildings with regard to their cultural and functional importance and impact on the quality of the built environment from the point of view both the individual and society. The architecture of civic buildings is presented in historical, typological and operational contexts, including valid standards and regulations. Lectures are complemented by external lectures and excursions / site visits for selected types of buildings. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

| The objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge of typology of civic buildings in historical, social and technical context, in the scope necessary for further study and for subsequent architectural design studio (Architectural Design Studio 2-4). |
