Summary
In the course of study, students learn to use analytical methods in the field of risk engineering, their mutual ties and possibilities of their application in the field. The use will be demonstrated on examples.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The goal is to create a base for solving problems (ie Problem Solving) in the field of safety engineering, which is now in the stage of great development.
Course Contents
Methods, tools and techniques are divided into: general applications of selected methods (eg, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis using cross-interaction analysis using event tree (ETA - Event Tree Analysis) Analysis of the causes and consequences, Benchmarking, and Sensitivity Analysis susceptibility testing, cause and Effect Diagrams, Fuller's method, risk matrix, Delphi method, the theory of extremes, etc., specially adapted general methods for analyzing and assessing risk. Emphasis is placed on the basic working methods of risk engineering and examples of their use.
