Summary
The Czech Republic is constantly preparing for the possibility to solve large scale extraordinary situations and their consequences. The highest priority in the preparation of a preparation to prevent the development of their own incident and its liquidation. Solution effects on city property and private individuals is therefore postpone to a later time. One way to get forces to the aftermath of parallel conduct has triggered the use of volunteers, who for different reasons they want to help. The problem is, however, when, who and how volunteers can help. The entire issue is focused on organizations involved in the process, their activities and possibilities.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim subject is acquaint students with the structure, organization and possibilities humanitarian aid, with emphasis on their usability in managing the consequences of large-scale extraordinary events. 2. Block I. The forms provided assistance (humanitarian, charitable and volunteer help)

o Provision of personal assistance
3. Block II. Volunteering
o The situation in the world
o Volunteering in the Republic
o The legal framework for volunteering and donations
4. Block III. Volunteering and humanitarian organizations
o Organization operating in the Czech Republic (Red Cross, ADRA, People in Need, ...)
o International humanitarian organizations (ICRC, UNHCR, UNICEF ...)
o Other organizations with connection to volunteering (UNOCHA, WHO ..)
5. Tasks and activities of humanitarian organizations after large-scale extraordinary situations (accidents, catastrophes, etc.)
