Summary
The aim of the course is the final theoretical and practical exercises demonstrating the knowledge and skills acquired during the whole study.
Case studies will include solutions to these events:
- extensive forest fire
- leakage from a stationary source ....
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the subject is to listen to the real chosen situations that have been shown in the past and to analyze the procedure in case of their solution. That is, studying one or a small number of cases in order to apply the lessons learned in understanding similar cases.
Course Contents
1. Introduction to the subject, introduction of goals and environment, introduction to crisis management
2. Case studies as a means of evaluating and gathering information on the possibilities of coping with emergencies
Block 1. A Case Study of a Crisis Situation in a Territory on a Current Topic (eg Type of Flood)
Preparation and implementation of solutions, evaluation of the current security situation, documentation, graphical registration in maps, involved subjects - communication schemes, principles of cooperation and communication inside and outside the crisis staff - simulation exercises
Block 2. Emergency / Technological Accident Solution Case Studies on Current Topic (eg Winter Stadium Crash)
Preparation and realization of the solution, evaluation of the current security situation in the facility and its surroundings, documentation, emergency planning zones, involved subjects - communication schemes, principles of cooperation and communication - simulation exercise of the "Crisis Team of the Organization"
Block 3. Case studies of emergency response associated with a large fire (eg forest fire)
Preparation and implementation of the solution, evaluation of the current security situation, available documentation - communication schemes, principles of cooperation and communication - simulation exercises
Block 4. A case study on addressing the increased threat of a terrorist attack on an element of critical power infrastructure (eg by using a firearm explosive system)
Preparation and implementation of the solution, evaluation of the current security situation, available documentation - communication schemes, principles of cooperation and communication - simulation exercises
3. Assessment of realized exercises, adoption of conclusions and suggestions for adjusting the content of planning documentation
