Summary
The course focuses on obligations in the area of the relationship of the company to environmental protection according to the valid legislation and also on the possibility of using voluntary tools to protect the environment (in not only industrial activities). In the course, students will learn the process of establishing the environmental profile of the company and will propose the possibilities of its improvement. In particular, the following areas are addressed: water management, nature and landscape protection, waste management, packaging, air, environmental damage, integrated pollution prevention.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The student knows (can enumerate) basic legal regulations important for the fulfillment of obligations of the company within the framework of environmental protection (RU).
The student is able to interpret the obligations of environmental protection by law (environmental protection laws).
The student is able to perform specific steps given by the law (eg to prepare an emergency plan, to include waste according to the Waste Catalog, etc.).
The student is able to outline the impact of a particular company activity on the environmental components according to the knowledge of the non-production process.
Based on the description of the manufacturing process of the company, the student is able to propose measures (eg using a specific voluntary environmental tool) to eliminate the negative environmental impacts of the subject.

5. Voluntary environmental activities; cleaner production; voluntary agreements
6. Life cycle assessment; Ecolabeling in the Czech Republic and the EU; Ecodesign
7. EMS: ISO 14001 and EMAS; Environmental audit
8. Company obligations in the field of water use and protection
9. Company obligations in the field of air protection, IRZ, ISPOP
10. Climate protection, emission allowances
11. Obligations of the company in the field of waste management and packaging issue
12. Circular economy
13. Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control
