Summary
Defining ergonomics as a factor for optimizing human activity. Basic and special areas of ergonomics. Criteria and parameters of ergonomic evaluation of working systems, examples of application of knowledge in common working positions, handling of loads, work with computer, application of ergonomic knowledge for mental demands on working positions and determination of the degree of mental stress.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Gaining knowledge about parameters and methods of ergonomic evaluation of existing work systems and for designing new ones. Integrating and summarizing knowledge in realizing ergonomic assessments.

2. Analysis of ergonomics disciplines
3. Types of work systems and their specifics
4. Physical ergonomics, its specifics and applications
5. Cognitive ergonomics, its specifics and applications
6. Organizational ergonomics, macroergonomics, its specifics, applications
7. Methods and techniques of ergonomics, analysis and their use
8. The scope and principles of applications in physical ergonomics
9. Scope and principles of applications in cognitive (psychological) ergonomics
10. The scope and principles of application in organizational ergonomics and macroergonomics
11. Scope and principles of human reliability assessment in work systems
12. Principles of complex professions, professiograms
13. Principles of job design, work systems, work organization
