Summary
Regulations for the transport of dangerous substances and hazardous waste in the Czech Republic, application of international regulations (ADR agreement, RID order), requirements for shipping and air transport. Marking of hazardous substances and hazardous wastes, equipment of transport means, documentation for transport and also in case of accident.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Explain the modes of transport of hazardous substances in the enterprise and ensure safety.
Assess transport safety precautions. Compare requirements for transport of hazardous substances by road, rail, air and sea. Recommend equipment for transport equipment, prepare documentation for transport and also in case of accident.
Course Contents
1. INTRODUCTION TO THE PROBLEM
2. TRANSPORT OF HAZARDOUS GOODS
Transport systems for liquids and gases. Analysis of main causes of accidents and required measures.
3. ANALYSIS OF SHAVES IN THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES IN THE WORLD AND IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Examples of accidents and their analysis.
4. INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS
European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR Agreement). Regulations for the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID Code).
5. INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS
Regulations for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA DGR), Maritime Dangerous Goods Regulations (IMDG).
6. REGULATIONS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Act No. 111/1994 Coll., on road transport, as amended. Act No. 266/1994 Coll., Act on Railways. Securing transport in the Czech Republic in the form of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Road and Rail Transport).
7. SINGLE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES AFTER ROAD AND RAILWAYS
Classification of hazardous substances, conditions for classification into individual classes, classification codes,classification of tunnels.
8. REQUIREMENTS FOR MARKING AND PACKAGING HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES WITHIN TRANSPORT
Numeric marking (UN code, hazard identification number), marking of piece goods.
9. REQUIREMENTS FOR MARKING AND PACKAGING HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES WITHIN TRANSPORT
Marking of means of transport, transport documents.
10. OBLIGATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL TRANSPORT PARTICIPANTS
Obligations of the carrier, carrier, consignor, etc., and the method of securing them.
11. INSTRUCTIONS OF THE SECURITY ADVISOR
Establishing a security advisor and his duties.
12. TRANSPORT OF HAZARDOUS WASTE
Hazardous properties of wastes, waste catalog, waste transport obligations, waste registration in transport.
