Summary
The course includes the definition of basic terms and legal regulations related to the issue. The course deals with the rules, conditions, systems and management of physical protection, including security policy, with the analysis of individual physical protection methods and systems by identifying, modeling, analyzing and assessing risks arising from the protection of individuals, property, and physical information protection. The content of the course is the application of capacitive and projection safety following the economic aspect of ALARP, domino effect, symmetry and techniques of assessing the reliability of human factors in physical surveillance.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The student knows the basics of business protection. Students will master the basic system of rules and technical, organizational and regime measures and methods of health protection, life and prevent unauthorized handling of property due to illegal conduct in the company.
The student is able to interpret the tasks of physical security by law. The student is able to take concrete steps given by law (eg to develop a regime protection plan or physical security etc.).
Based on the process description, the student is able to propose measures to minimize the negative effects of unlawful entities on the property and health of persons in the company.

1. Legal framework and standards for the physical protection of the enterprise.
2. Definition of enterprise security policy and security management of the organisation,
3. Structure of enterprise security; methods and systems of facility security assessment
4. Assessment of enterprise protection from structural and process perspectives.
5. Means of technical protection of the enterprise
6. Mode protection - basic documentation of security protection of the facility.
7. Physical security of the enterprise, methods, components and regulations governing the activity.
8. Economic aspect of enterprise protection, ALARP rule in enterprise protection
9. Capacity issues of enterprise security.
10. Design specifications for enterprise security.
11. Enterprise security risk assessment and evaluation. Verification
12. Methods of quantifying human factor failure in enterprise security.
13. Physical security in research, methods, case studies, statistics, forecasting.
