Key Learning Outcomes |
---|
Key Lerning Outcomes are Expressed in following Structure: Knowledge, Skills, General competencies |
---|
Knowledge: |
---|
The course that follows up on the Bachelor’s studies of Telecommunication Technology is focused on the education of an engineer with a deeper theoretical basis and practical knowledge of modern telecommunication and information technology, including the application of the knowledge of light current electronics and communication technology in designing new equipment or systems. The basis consists of the subjects of theoretical and practical informatics, communication technology, optoelectronics and optical communication, and electronics.
The student acquires knowledge in the field of mobile and fixed communication, modern network technology, telecommunication services, internet technology and services, security methods, and high-speed multimedia transfer. The student will become familiar with the designing and implementation of computer networks, database systems and distributed applications, as well as with various information techniques. Also, the students will be acquainted with the design of analogue and digital circuits and systems, and they can specialize in the problems of digital processing of speech, musical signals and picture signals.
|
Skills: |
---|
The graduates in the Master’s studies with an Ing. degree are able to specialize and adapt to the needs of practice and research, and they can continually deepen their knowledge in the branch. They will find employment as creative workers in research, technical development, design and control of communication and information networks and services, as well as in all fields of data, telecommunication, radio communication and information technology applications. They will acquire the knowledge and abilities that will enable them to work independently in teams dealing with projects in various fields of electronic communication. |
General competencies: |
---|
The graduates in the Master’s course can manage independent work in the branch, decision making on technical and economic issues in the branch, and technical solutions. They can work independently and creatively when searching for the information sources in telecommunication technology, optoelectronics and optical communication, and multimedia technology, and are capable of critical assessment.
They can see the ethical and social consequences of the development of the branch, handle independent management of professional teams, their coordination, and check the results of their work. They are capable of further studies and self-education, and have an appropriate knowledge of foreign languages. They are able to present technical issues, for themselves as well as for their employers within a broader context.
|
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples |
---|
The graduates in the Master’s studies will find employment mainly in the management of projects, production, development, and research, and in higher managerial positions, depending on the selected branch of study. The broad scope of expert knowledge constitutes an appropriate prerequisite for the positions of system integrators as well. The course provides the highest form of technical education in the given branch, and it gives the science-oriented graduates a chance to continue their studies in the doctoral course. |
