Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Clarify o wave propagations problems in wreless comunication channels and in lines. Define how waves interact with materials in various ways. Classify the antennas responsible for generating and receiving waves.

Electromagnetic field theory, Characteristics of radio waves, Phase and group velocities, Medium parameters, Propagation paths, Boundary conditions, Reflected and refracted waves, The ionosphere, Refractive index, VHF propagation, Scatter propagation, Satellite comunications, Waveguide transmission, Waveguide equation, Rectangular waveguides, Rectangular modes, Circular waveguides, Circular modes, Waveguide attenuation, Launching in waveguides, Stripline and microstrip.
