Summary |
---|
The subject is oriented on explanation of quality management meaning, principles, processes, methods and tools. Basic quality management concepts and procedures of quality management at various stages of product life cycle will be explained too. The attention will be also paid to economic analyses within quality management, as well as to European Union approaches to quality assurance and conformity assessment. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

To obtain knowledge about principles and processes of quality management as well as about use of quality management methods and tools within various stages of product life cycle. Students will learn about basic statistical methods application and customer feedback usage. They will able to analyse economic effects of quality improvement at different types of industrial companies. |

2. Basic principles and concepts of modern quality management.
3. Role, requirements and recommendations of the EN ISO 9000 family of standards.
4. Fundamental processes of quality management.
5. Quality management at design and development stage. Basic methods and tools of quality planning.
6. Quality management at purchasing.
7. Quality economy, areas and approaches. Quality related costs and their measurement.
8. Conformity verification. Basic forms of product verification and inspection. Control of nonconforming products.
9. Human factor within quality management.
10. Auditing within quality management systems.
11. Quality improvement – approaches and methods.
12. European Union approaches to conformity assessment and quality assurance.
13. Trends of quality management development, management systems integration.
14. Business excellence models and their role at quality management. |
