Summary
Student will be acquired with construction, types, characteristics, efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility, protection, safety and reliability of electrical machines and drives. Standards and technical documentation in the area of electrical drives are also included in content of the subject, including samples of dimensioning of electrical motors for various types of load, design and reverse influences of adjustable speed drives on mains.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
To inform students about individual components of electrical drive, their types, constructions and characteristics necessary for their design.
After subject graduation the student will acquire a survey and orientation in technical design of electrical drives enabling their analysis and synthesis including aplication of acquired knowledge at designing of practical solutions in given area.
