Summary
The goal of Multimedia Technology I is collect and describe of multimedia signals transport over digital broadcasting and satellite, cable or internet TV. Clear orientation and context for the use of multimedia data is offers by this subject.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Understand the methods and the pricipal of multimedia technology.


Learning outcomes are set so that the students are able to identify and apply
tasks in the field of multimedia technology.
Course Contents
Lectures:

Multimedia signala, Basic classification and features, overview of multimedia services in telecommunication networks.
Sound systems and light systems for making multimedia.
Image processing and compression standards for multimedia technology.
Features and parameters for multimedia containers AVI, RIFF, MXF, AAF
Television broadcasting in PAL and NTSC standards.
DAB digital audio broadcasting.
DVB-T and DVB-T2 broadcasting, topology.
TV string, sorce coding and multiplexing, public, local and static multiplex, QOS in DVB-T.
DVB-S and DVB-S2 broadcasting.
Cabel TV, DOCSIS, DVB-C a DVB-C2.
Interactiv multimedia service in digital networks, IPTV and VOD.
3DTV, Smart TV and architecture of HbbTV
Excursion in distributor and provider of boadcasting regional multiplex(BTV, LTV).
New trends and ways of multimedia technology.
