Summary
The subject is focused on special medical technology - microscopic, endoscopic, dental, infusion and hemodialysis technology. Another block of topics is focused on operating theater equipment, sterilization technology, ARO and JIP technology, gynecological, neonatal and pediatric techniques and techniques. Conclusions include the issue of blood centers and genetics, as well as the technical means of medical education of physicians.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the subject is to focus on special medical technology. The benefit of the subject is acquiring knowledge and understanding of the principles, techniques and use of these devices. The course supplements the basic knowledge about medical electrical devices in the field of biomedical engineering.
Course Contents
Lectures:
1. Microscopic technique - light microscopy. Introduction to light microscopy, theory of origin and image properties, technical microscopy, microscopy types according to light microscopy methods.
2. Electron microscopy. Microscopic technique - electron microscopy. Introduction to electron microscopy.
3. Endoscopic technique. Principles, technical design and use of classical endoscopic techniques in individual clinical disciplines - gastroscopy, bronchoscope, arthroscope, rectoscope, rhinoscope, choledoscope, thoracoscope, cytoscope, laparoscope, hysteroscope.
4. Hemodialysis technique. Physical-chemical principles of dialysis, dialyzers, dialysis device - block diagram and function. Water for hemodialysis purposes, water treatment plants, concentrates.
5. Dental technology - in surgery, laboratory, dental materials, X-ray dental technology.
6. Infusion technology. Basic division of infusion techniques, physical infusion principles. Pump types, SW equipment
7. Instrumentation of operating theaters. Operating room, operating lamps, tables, anesthesia machine, vital life monitors, defibrillator, X-ray arm, infusion and transfusion heater, infusion pump, linear dispenser, aspirator.
8. Sterilization technique. Introduction to epidemiology, sterilization, disinfection. Hot air, steam and chemical and plasma sterilization technology. Germicidal lamps. Sterilization of special ZT.
9. ARO and JIP Techniques, Emergency Care, Central Rescue Services, Dispatchers, Ambulances, Helicopters.
10. Gynecological and Obstetric Instruments and Instruments, Pediatrics and Neonatal Techniques. Baby monitors, infra lamp, aEEG
11. ENT technique,
12. Genetics and blood center. Workplace equipment and preparation and storage of blood derivatives
13. Technique for teaching health disciplines. Phantoms, trainers and simulators, teaching of surgical techniques to doctors.
14. Laboratory technique - Biochemical laboratories, devices and devices, biochemical automata, laboratory equipment.
15.Laboratory technology - Hematology laboratories, devices and equipment, hematological devices, laboratory equipment.

11. Preparation of microscopic preparation

The subject guarantor can adjust the laboratory exercises according to the current teaching needs. Individual exercises can be performed in the form of excursions at the selected workplace.
