Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
Passing the subject student is able to define basic electrical power terms, explain basic techniques of calculation of exercise, these apply to more complex problems and discuss achieved results from the area of electrical power engineering - production of electricity and its conversion to heat and light. |

Basic electrical power terms, production and consumption balance of electricity and power plant types.
Condensation power plants and heating plants.
Principles of nuclear energy.
Energy exploitation of water.
Renewable energy sources, fuel cells and environment.
Accumulation of energy.
Electrical part of power plants.
Electrical machinery and instruments. Distribution systems.
Design of electrical and electronic devices, safety. Electromagnetic compatibility.
Heat transfer. Basics of heating.
Industrial heatings.
Light technology - basic terms.
Sources of electric light, light appliances.
Lighting systems.
