Summary |
---|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with basic concepts of flow modeling and CFD simulation using ANSYS Fluent 12.1.4 software or COMSOL Multiphysics. After completing the course students should be able to independently create simple simulations of basic technical problems in the field of fluid mechanics and heat sharing.

1. Matematic model, hydrodynamic system, need for numerical simulation by means of CFD
2. CFD application possibilities and strategy
3. Discretization by finit element and finit volume method
4. Implementation of boundary conditions into the discretized problem
5. Discretized problem solution
6. Nonlinear problems, direct and non direct solvers
7. Iterative convergence and numerical stability, turbulence modelling
8. Mesh preparation in program ANSYS Meshing
9. Model tasks in program ANSYS Fluent |
