Summary
In this subject, students are informed about standardization in ČR and abroad, including tabular interpretation of standards, rules and regulations from the area of standardization, electric apparatus safety, protection from electric shock, with electromagnetic compatibility, outer influences, production of documentation and news writing.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students will know the basic rules and standards in power electrical engineering in this course, which are necessary for future work as projecting of electric devices and for control of a work activity in electrical engineering.
Course Contents
Lectures:

1. The introduction - the summary of legislative regulations, institutions and authorities
2. The standardization in the Czech Republic, in The Europe Union and worldwide
3. The conditions of putting the new products to the market, it's distribution and sale
4. The declaration of conformity, acreditation of workers
5. The professional qualification of workers in electrotechnical field
6. The external influences and climate conditions (HD 384, IEC 60364)
7. The Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code) - IEC 529
8. Protection for safety - Protection against electric shock
9. Protection against electric shock - possibilities, means, choice, verification
10. The principles of risk assessment in relation to safe operation of electric devices
11. The basic safety technique, the basic instruments of safety, regulations and standards
12. Technical requirements to safe operation of chosen electric devices
13. Summary of topics, counsels


Exercises:

1. The practical application and detailed interpretation - the comment of selected parts of electrotechnical regulations
2. The practical application and detailed interpretation - the comment of selected parts of basic electrotechnical standards
3. The practical application and detailed interpretation - the comment of selected parts of basic electrotechnical government directions and laws
4. The practical application of solving and applying the protection agains electric shock I.
5. The practical application of solving and applying the protection agains electric shock II.
6. The practical application of way of establishing the declaration of conformity of electrical appliances


Projects:

1. The establishing of the declaration of conformity according to the rule No. 22/1997 to the given electrical device
2. Making of the list of electrical risk for the shop and the service of electrotechnical products
3. The setting up of electrotechnical skill of workers selling and repairing the electrical appliances
4. The practical application of verification and checking of electrical appliances of the class I., II., including making appropriate records
5. The design of electrical installation and the choice of protection level for electrical installation of the shop and repair shop of electrical appliances
6. Grounding measurement.
7. Measurement of soil resistance.
