The goal of Multimedia Formats and Transfer Systems is collect and describe of multimedia formats and transport multimedia signals over digital broadcasting and satellite, cable or internet TV. Clear orientation and context for the use of multimedia is offers by this subject.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Understand the methods and the pricipal of multimedia formats and systems for transfer of multimedia.

Learning outcomes are set so that the students are able to identify and apply
tasks in the field of multimedia.
Course Contents
Lectures:
Multimedia signals, basic features and overview multimeda services.
Audio signals, processing, record and reproduction.
Basic compress standards in multimedia technology.
Codecs for audio and video signals and using in multimedia technology.
Multimedia containers for audio and video signals, overview, features and parameters.
Transfer systems for audio (analog and digital broadcasting, ...)
Principal of television transfer, TV standards.
Digital Broadcasting standards for TV (DVB –x ...)
Hybrid distribution systems, basic concept (HE, optics – cabel, ...)
Interactive multimedia service in digital networks, (IPTV a VOD).
3DTV, Smart TV and architecture of HbbTV
Multimedia in social networks.
