Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Student will know to describe materials and technologie used in power machinery. To identify individual technologies of forming and subsequent treatment. To describe forming techniques. To design and to solve production processes of individual parts of power units. To choose optimal machines and tools for individual components manufacturing.
Course Contents
Introduction to power machinery.
Materials used in power industry.
Semiproducts and technologies for power machines production.
Division of forming techniques according to temperature and aspects of forming.
Forging, rolling, extrusion, drawing, and materials for forming tools.
Forming machines and production lines.
Non-convential forming techniques.
Basic information about heat treatment of power equipment.
Super-plastic forming of chosen metallic materials.
SPD processes, possibilities of its implementation into manufacturing.
Progressive techniques of manufacturing (3D printing of metals).
Simulation of technological processes of forming during power machines manufacturing.
