Summary
The course is maily focused on preparation of theoretical part of Diploma Thesis. Students will learn about basic requirements on Diploma Thesis and with the citation of references. Students will be informed about the most important sources of information, either in the printed or electronic form, which are related to the professional field dealing with the topic of their Diploma Thesis. In the next part of the course students will prepare the theoretical part of the thesis under the auspieces of their tutors.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students will learn about information sources which can they use for preparation of the theoretical part of their Diploma Thesis. Students will know how to cite applied literature sources. Students will deepen their knowledge and skills at preparation of professional reports on the given topic under the auspices of tutors of their thesis.
Course Contents
1. Basic sources of information, which can students use for preparation of the theoretical part of their thesis.
2. Basic rules for citation of applied literature sources in agreement with the standard ISO 690.
3. Independent preparation of the theoretical part of the Diploma Thesis by students.
4. Modification of the content of the theoretical part of the thesis based on discussions with the tutor of the Diploma Thesis.
