Profile of the Programme |
---|
The study program trains professionals with deep knowledge on the structure of classical and special materials, their performance that the relationships between structure and properties, as well as on the mechanisms of degradation of materials and the possibilities of influencing the properties of technical materials. It prepares qualified professionals also for the selection of materials (metals and their alloys, plastics, structural ceramics, composites) for their optimal use.

The students will gain a deep theoretical knowledge on the basic structural parameters of conventional and special technical materials. They learn the relationship between structure and the materials´ properties. They recognize the mechanisms of material degradation, they learn to influence their properties. Gain insight on the materials´ selection for an optimal use.

Bellow stated courses are assigned for the degree studies only. Students coming to VSB-TUO for an exchange stay must select courses from the List of courses for exchange students. |
