Profile of the Branch
The study of this field educates specialists with theoretical and practical knowledge of the basic production technology which are being used in mechanical engineering. By the knowledge in basic field areas which include engineering materials and their surface treatment, the technology of manufacturing and assembling of engineering parts. The students are able to further deepen their knowledge through the study of physical metallurgy and limiting state of materials, manufacturing machines and equipment including numerically controlled automatic and flexible production systems, their production and controlling. In this field applications of numerical methods and projection technology are being studied and practically practised. The important item of the production is controlling and the management of quality, organization and the economic evaluation of production which are parts of the graduate´s preparation.
Key Learning Outcomes
Key Lerning Outcomes are Expressed in following Structure: Knowledge, Skills, General competencies
Knowledge:
The graduate gains the knowledge, acquirements and the competence in the area of basic technological parts in engineering, projecting of manufacturing process and systems and construction of special machine tools. The aim of this study is to get knowledge about: - The basic terms and principles relating to all basic engineering manufacturing technologies, - The qualities and usage of metallic and non-metallic materials in engineering, - The influence of engineering technologies on the qualities and the structure of treated materials.
Skills:
Skills: - In the field of the basic technological manufacturing procedure which are used in the engineering production, - The controlling and evaluating of the basic parameters of engineering production, - Solve the decision tasks, plan and operate manufacturing systems.
General competencies:
Competences: - Complete and realize technological procedure of engineering production - Classify the ways of engineering productive technologies, - Measure and evaluate dimensional, material and economics parameters of engineering production and products.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples
The branch graduates can find employment in the production operations of engineering and other industrial branches, in the sectional preparation and organization of production, as the designers and creators of technological equipment, tools, as the designers and creators of the technological operations and in the maintenance sections.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
