Finished secondary education with secondary school-leaving exam.
Regulations:
The Czech educational system is regulated by the Higher Education Act (Act 111/1998). Studies at VSB-TUO are regulated by the Statute of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.
Profile of the Branch
Study aims to prepare candidates for the position of certifying staff maintenance of aircraft in commercial aviation. On the basis of common naturalistic follow-up study of subjects relevant professional air, parts of which are theoretical modules of the so-called basic training in the maintenance of the ATM to obtain a license under category B1 Aviation Regulation Part 66 within min. 1000 h. Air vocational courses are taught by practitioners who are in addition to the approval of Civil Aviation, which also approves and supervises the training system (the University must be certified to the standard training for aircraft maintenance organizations - MTO). The study is not practical training, aircraft maintenance, the student must pay for himself, but tutorial work (more training organization - MTO) is required to ensure the practice of commercial providers of practical training, aircraft maintenance, which coordinate with their theoretical training.

Knowledge:
The aim of the study is to provide the necessary theoretical training, so that together with the theoretical study of student experience required to undertake regulation Part - 66 Part-147 and obtain the required practical skills. - Broad knowledge and understanding of the subject and scope of the industry, -wide knowledge of theories, concepts and methods of discipline - understanding of the possibilities, conditions and restrictions on the use of theories, concepts and methods in the field of practice
Skills:
Graduates are prepared to serve as a maintenance technician certifying deploy aircraft in commercial aviation. During the study all the test folds of theoretical knowledge required regulation Part-66. After gaining the required experience will receive a diploma from the Civil Aviation Authority (license) that will, according to Cyprus agreement, each state must recognize the European Union. - Using the expertise of a framework defined task to solve practical problems in the industry - search, organize and interpret information relevant to solving the practical problem defined - using some of the basic research field in the range of procedures needed to solve practical problems in the field
General competencies:
Graduates are prepared to work for aircraft maintenance certifying technician deploy in commercial air transport companies in using these aircraft in all European Union countries. In the Czech Republic is Czech Airlines - CSA Job Air Ltd.., Etc. The graduates also find employment in factories of all European Union countries, which are manufactured aircraft for commercial air transport (particularly in the Republic Aircraft Industries Kunovice, Aero and others). - Independent and responsible decisions in the context of only partially known to the award of the framework - based on the general assignment and allocation of resources to coordinate the activities of the team and be accountable for its results - to solve problems include consideration of the ethical dimension - clearly and convincingly communicate the information to experts and laymen the nature of professional issues and their own views on their solutions - clearly summarize the views of other team members - to use their professional knowledge, professional skills and general competence in at least one foreign language - self acquire additional expertise, skills and competence based on practical experience and in particular its evaluation, but also by independent studies of the theoretical field of knowledge
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples
Will graduate when all requirements required by the current aviation regulations ready to accept the occupation for certifying staff maintenance of aircraft in commercial aviation. Within this field of study graduate gains knowledge of the theoretical training for certifying staff to obtain a license for a category B according to the Aviation Regulation Part 66, which involves 2400 hours of theoretical and practical training. The aim of the study is primarily to provide students with both academic education in a technical direction, while the theoretical part of the basic training for the qualification of certifying staff maintenance of aircraft in commercial aviation. In the case of the acquisition of skills (ie, after fulfilling all the requirements required by the relevant aviation regulations) that can be used in all EU Member States and other countries represented in the organization of the JAA.

Course block: Compulsory - all courses are compulsory.
Course block: Choice-compulsory - student has to choose at least one course from the list of courses.
Course block: Optional - student can choose any course from the list of courses.
 
IMPORTANT: Student has to select so many courses to reach 30 ECTS credits per semester. Rules in detail and convenient selection of courses can be consulted with the programmme director.
Bellow stated courses are assigned for the degree studies only. Students coming to VSB-TUO for an exchange stay must select courses from the List of courses for exchange students.
