Summary
Czech electric power system, electric power stations. Mechanics of electric railways. Connection of electric railways to the power system. Supplying DC and AC electric railways, traction substations. Electric railways contact system.
Electric motor vehicle of DC and AC electric railways. Asymmetry, harmonics and power factor in 110 kV Networks by Supplying Electric Railways. Electrochemical corrosion. Earth current fields in proximity to DC and AC electric railways.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
A student should learn:
•To arrange and categorize knowledge in order to use it for the use and the projecting of new work schemes as well as innovation of the current technological state;
