Summary
Learning oucome in the subject Technical Calculations is to get through the creation and description of algorithms for the typical technical calculations, implementation in the environment of the spreadsheet, to get through the realization of basic programs for technical calculation realization, like aggregation, sequencies, equation root, extremes, numerical integration and derivation.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Learning oucome in the subject Technical Calculations is to get through the creation and description of algorithms for the typical technical calculations, implementation in the environment of the spreadsheet, to get through the realization of basic programs for technical calculation realization, like aggregation, sequencies, equation root, extremes, numerical integration and derivation.
Course Contents
1. The application of algorithms and programming in engineering.
2. Spreadsheet - Excel as a tool for solving mathematical and statistical tasks and decision-making.
3, Tools and Options in Excel - Examples of practical use (processing and presentation of experimental data obtained by simulation or measurement).
4. Processing and creating charts, practical use - obtaining results by differentiation and integration.
5. Data validation, matrix functions, pivot tables.
6. Advanced features and processing data in a spreadsheet.
7. Recording and using macros in MS Excel environment.
8. Advanced recording and editing macros, basic commands, data types and expressions in Visual Basic.
9. Debugging and if-then structures in Visual Basic
10. Cycles in Visual Basic, methods of cell referencing.
11. Subroutines, functions and arguments in the "Visual Basic for Application".
12. Advanced arguments, objects and events.
13. Linear regression analysis of the measured data.
14. Approximation and numerical solution of algebraic equations.
