Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
In this subject, students learn about the specific issues of transport and processing of raw materials intended for energy processes. This is typical for conveyors and special versions, eg. belt, rake, bucket evevators etc. linked to the choice of transport and storage facilities related to mechanical and physical properties of particulate materials and their application in a given part of the energy companies.
Course Contents
1. Material handling and its significance in the transport field.
2. The status and functions of transport and handling in the process of production, circulation and consumption.
3. Summary and the subject of a systemic approach in the design of material flows in the energy sector.
4. Determination of transport capacity vehicles and material of handling equipments (conveyors, transport trucks etc). Storing material - in bulk, landfills, reservoirs etc.
5. Mechanical physical and geometrical properties of the granulation mass, effects on the flow and pressure waveforms. The principle of linear shear machines, equations, rotary shear machine, other structures and principles.
6. Roscou diagram, measure the impact of partial physical quantities on the mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials, aeration.
7. General model stress distribution in bulk compositions, traditional and modern models. The method according to Janssen, Rankin, Pascal, DEM.
8. Separation, machinery, processes and models, definitions, process descriptions, applications, technical implications
9. Stabilization continuity of the flow of materials with varying properties, Jenikeho theory of mass flow, general equation of sorting, segregation
10. The default transport facilities in applied transport, construction of transport routes and storage facilities
11. Application of the properties of bulk materials in the construction of transport, processing and storage facilities, general equation sorting, aeration granulation mass, compressing the general equation, briquetting and pelleting Biosolids construction
12. Crushing and grinding general equation disintegration and its applications. The design of mills and grinders, compaction, granulation. Design principles
13. Criteria options optimized conveying system for bulk materials from a technical and economic point of view,
14. Technical equipment for material handling, classification, selection methods.
