Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students are able to describe the basic terminology of flow around body. They will be able to describe the types of flow and the formation of boundary layers and be able to express the aerodynamic drag of ground vehicles. They will be know the basics of turbulent flow. They will be able to define the problems of flow around the road and rail vehicles at low and high speeds. They will understand the principles of aerodynamic elements in the construction of road and rail vehicles. They will be able to describe the principles of measuring the aerodynamic properties of vehicles in the wind tunnel. Students will able, after completing the course, to define the boundary conditions and build a simple numerical model.
