Summary
Utilisation of waste is one of the state priorities. To the students will be
given the information abou waste utilisation - thermal processes, dumpling,
inceniration, recycling.
Waste materials, types and sources of occurrence.
Legislation related to waste management.
Landfill of waste.
Construction of modern landfills. Composting.
Recycling of waste, recycling limits.
Definitions and differences between types of waste and methods of disposal. Risk assessment and risk assessment.
Thermal disposal of waste. Fluid combustion. Grilles and rotary kilns.
Wood waste.
Radioactive waste. Hospital and toxic waste. Non-hospital waste.
Modern waste incinerator. Modern municipal waste incinerator.
Capture of oxides of sulfur, nitrogen, halogens, heavy metals and vapors.

Course Contents
Annotation:

Students of the given subject will be acquainted with the basic concepts of waste management and waste management and with the legal regulations of the Czech Republic and the EU in this studied area. Attention will also be paid to pollutants, production and management of selected wastes, the occurrence and occurrence of selected wastes, their use and basic technologies and principles for their processing.
