This subject deals basic information about environment protection connected with air and water.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Understanding the basic principles of activities in environmental protection, analysis of air and water pollution, application of methods for minimization of pollutants.
Course Contents
Environmental protection, basic concepts, legislation.
Basic concepts of air protection, pollutants in the air.
Permissible air pollution level.
Fundamentals of the technical solution of the separators.
Reducing the concentration of solid pollutants.
Production of gaseous pollutants and their monitoring.
Principle of concentration measurement of gaseous pollutants.
Basic concepts in water protection, pollution of the water recipient.
Water properties and waste water treatment principles.
Fundamentals of technical solutions for water treatment.
Sewage and waste water treatment.
Waste water treatment plants.
Excursion to waste water treatment plant.
