Summary
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the basic separation principles of gaseous and solid particles in connection with current legislation in the field of air protection and application of these principles in technical practice.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The graduate will acquire an overview of technologies that are necessary for air protection of areas affected by gaseous and solid emissions.

1. Current legislation in the field of air protection
2. Categorization of gaseous emissions
3. Categorization of solid emissions
4. Solid particles in terms of physical properties
5. Solid particles in terms of chemical properties
6. Solid particles, determination of particle size, distribution curves
7. RRB diagrams of solid particles
8. Separation principles of solid particles
9. Filters
10. Application of separation principles in technical practice
11. Basic gaseous emissions according to current legislation
12. Separation principles of gaseous emissions
13. Fans, their cooperation
14. Examples and demonstrations of practical realizations
