Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students completing the course will be able to:
- Describe laboratory techniques and basic operations.
- Build a basic apparatus, perform selected synthesis.
- Identify and separate the selected organic compounds.
- Apply the manual skills and habits necessary for successful work in the laboratory.
Course Contents
1) Work safety in the laboratory, introduction to laboratory exercises, basic information about exercises and requirements for laboratory protocols processing.
2) Preparation of iodoform.
3) Preparation 2-chloro-2methylpropane.
4) Preparation of 1-nitronaphtalene.
5) Preparation of 4-nitroaniline.
6) Preparation of acetanilide.
7) Preparation of acid orange7.
8) Preparation of para red.
9) Preparation of fumaric acid.
10) Preparation of acetylsalicylic acid.
11) Preparation of ethyl formate.
12) Preparation of ethyl acetate.
13) Preparation of aniline formaldehyde resin.
14) Credit test.
