The subject makes a summary and an extension of knowledge of Machine parts
and Mechanisms I and II. The whole spectrum of basic machine parts will be
applied on example of a simply drive. The subject focuses itself to the node
shaft-bearing, optimization of the transmission and other elements - couplings,
clutches, brakes etc. The result will be a student's ability to design the
simply drive or its parts.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Next students knowledge enhancement especially in sphere of transmissions. Variant and comparative evaluation and a design of a drive type.
Course Contents
In terms of the final project each student works out one or double stages helical gearbox:
1. Optimized design of the proportions of gearbox case.
2. Simplified method of gearing calculation by part 4 of ČSN 014686
3. Stress calculation of shafts.
4. Loading capacity calculation of bearings.
5. Next necessary calculations.
6. Assembly drawing in the three views.
7. Working drawing of one shaft and one gear.
