Summary
The basic ideas a conceptions of mineral processing systems and technologies designing. Applications of recent methods based on graph theory and matrix analysis.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Analysis of knowledge base in the area of raw materials properties and characteristics of mineral processing machinery. Interpretation of acquired informations and their synthesis for the mineral processing technology designing.
Course Contents
1. Basic concepts, initial data for technology design
2. Topology of technological process and graph theory
3. Topology of technological process and matrix analysis
4. Balance calculations of complex technological systems, basic concepts
5. Graph theory and its use in balancing technological systems
6. Matrix analysis and its use in balancing technological systems
7. Balance calculations of complex technological systems (sequential procedure)
8. Balance calculations of complex technological systems using matrices
9. Calculation of complex technological systems using graph theory
10.Designing and balancing of crushing, grinding and sorting processes
11.Designing and balancing physical separation processes
12.Design and balancing of physico-chemical processes
13.Designing and balancing water treatment plants, Tailings ponds.
