Summary
The subject is a mineral raw material market. Emphasis is placed on understanding the process from mining, through processing to the trading of minerals. At the lectures students learn about the whole process, overview of the main minerals and market research. During the course the students gain practical experience in the preparation of a semester project on the topic of creating supply and demand of selected mineral resources.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Describe the process of extraction, processing and trade of mineral resources. Classify mineral raw materials. Choose appropriate research methods in the raw material industry. Create supply and demand in the mineral raw materials market. Evaluate opportunities and threats in the raw materials market.
