Summary
The subject concerns modern working processes in Microsoft Office and their application to written professional text, presentation and economic analysis in raw-materials industry with spreadsheet.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Generating knowledge concerning modern working processes in Microsoft Office, application to written professional text, simple economic analysis with spread sheet in raw-materials industry.
Course Contents
1. Word, principles of creating text documents, advanced techniques (working with sections, use of styles)
2. Word, working with tables, graphic editing, inserting and editing images, writing formulas in text
3. Word, advanced techniques (titles of tables and figures, footnotes, cross-references, generation of content, list of tables and figures)
4. Word, editing of documents processed by word processors - standard ČSN 01 6910 (2014)
5. Instructions for Bachelor's thesis writing – work organization, structure and range of thesis
6. Instructions for Bachelor's thesis writing – formal requirements
7. Excel, graph creation and modification – application to technical and production indicators of mining company
8. Excel, trend analysis of technical and production indicators of mining company
9. Excel, mining company financial analysis – horizontal and vertical analysis
10. Excel, mining company financial analysis – financial ratio calculation
11. Excel, investment project efficiency in mining company
