Summary
The lessons focus on mastering the lexis, grammar, and phrases within the given scope. Students will acquire comprehensive language skills; they will be able to use terminology related to the course topics so that they are prepared for management positions in an international working environment. Students will learn phrases suitable for effective communication and negotiations in meetings as well as the signposting language used in presentations. They will also get acquainted with the language of advertisements. Students will revise and reinforce their knowledge of the reported speech and passive voice. An integral part of the course is the development of students’ presentations skills. Students are supposed to give presentations on the selected topic, which they present in the class during the seminars.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim is to create a grounding of ESP language with respect to communication skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening with the output level B1-B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
