Summary
Subject treats of Czech environmental law. Preamble is devoted to Czech environmental state administration. Main attention is focused on legal regulations in the sphere of air protection, water protection, soil protection, and legal form in the sphere of natural and country-side protection, forest-land resources protection, waste management, environmental impact assessment, mineral raw material exploitation, working environment management (focused on human health management) and noise and vibration protection.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The target of the subject is acquainting of students with fundamentals of environmental law in the Czech Republic.
Course Contents
1. Constitutional Law No 1/1993 Coll. (Constitution of the CR) and
Constitutional Law No 2/1993 Coll. (Charter of Fundamental Rights
and Freedoms) and their relation to the environmental protection.
2. Act No 17/1992 Coll., on the environment, as amended.
3. Laws on waste management.
4. Laws on packaging.
5. Laws on air protection.
6. Regulation No 415/2012 Coll., on the permissible levels of pollution
and its determination.
7. Laws on water management.
8. Legal regime of the protection of the nature and landscape.
9. Protection of the agricultural land resources. Protection of the forest land resources.
10. Environmental protection related to the exploitation of mineral resources.
11. Protection of health against unfavourable effects of noise and vibrations.
12. Laws on the environmental impact assessment (E.I.A.).
13. Protection of public health.
