Summary
Importance of oil and gas for the world economy. Financial models of exploration and production projects. Modern methods of exploration and extraction. Geohydrodynamical systems. EOR. Shale gas, oil sands. Risks in exploration and mining, environmental aspects.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Graduates of the course will demonstrate deeper knowledge of the oil and gas exploration and production. They are able to orient themselves not only in technical disciplines, but also demonstrate skills in strategic preparation of commercial projects and related business activities. Graduates of the course are able to assess in more detail the possibilities of modern exploration and mining technologies, including the evaluation of technical and environmental risks.
