Summary
The course introduces the basic concepts of waste management and recycling. . Basic recycling technologies and their applications for treatment of selected types industrials and householde wastes are described.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students demonstrate knowledge of recycling technologies and are able to apply them for processing of individual types of industrial wastes

5.Chemical recycling technologies, characteristics and applications
6. Thermal methods of waste treatment, characteristics and applications
7. Biotechnology and their use in waste recycling
8. Metal and metal-bearing wastes, characteristics and possibilities of recycling
9. Non-metallic wastes, characteristics and possibilities of recycling
10.Communal and similar wastes, characteristics and technologies of recycling
11.Wastes based on plastics and rubbers, characteristics and technology of recycling
12.Wastes from iron metallurgy, characteristics and technology of recycling
13.Wastes from mining and quarrying, characteristics and technologies
recycling
14.Radioactive waste, characteristics and possibilities of recycling
