Summary |
---|
The subject makes it possible to acquire the expert konowledge and experience in the sphere of engineering and geological drilling works in the form of practical field research. The practical training in drilling includes practical drilling by use of hydraulic portable drilling machine MVS 1 in field conditions in the area of VŠB-TU Ostrava – soil drilling by use of spiral rods (augers), well sampling of soils from particular depth intervals, geological profile elaboration and petrographic and lithological description of the soil samples. The subsequent part of the practical training is intent on the implementation of drilling works intent on the research of diamond drilling rig in laboratory. The main attention is paid to the determination of optimum work regime of these diamond drilling bits in relation to the desintegration of the rocks. The final of the practical training is paid to the measured data processing, their evaluation and final report elaboration. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
Some choice kinds of drilling works are presented within the frame of practical training in drilling. Students can make sure degree of encompassment of the concrete subject matter lectured in terms of lessons and whether they are able to solve scheduled practical tasks in field conditions both by drilling using drilling rig and by the research of diamond drilling tools in laboratories. The students have to be able to find the optimum consecution of drilling works and with the aid of excercise supervisor to apply theoretical knowledge in the practice, furthermore, to choose optimum solution of the scheduled problems. Last but not least, very important goal of this subject is to teach the students to work independently on the concrete tasks by use of drilling technics, to analyse and evaluate measured data and use it by the construction of geological profile (1. part) and to determine optimum work regime of the diamond drilling tools (2. part). |
