Summary
After completing the course, students will acquire basic knowledge of the AutoCAD projection program used in water management. The student will apply the acquired knowledge in the creation of simple project documentation of the sewerage of the given area and the watercourse regulation in the framework of further studies.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
After completing the course, students will acquire basic knowledge of the AutoCAD projection program used in water management. The student will apply the acquired knowledge in the creation of simple project documentation of the sewerage of the given area and the watercourse regulation in the framework of further studies.
Course Contents
1. Working environment: starting AutoCAD, working with files, description of desktop, meaning of mouse buttons, working with AutoCAD commands, adding toolbars.
2. Introduction to drawing: setting drawing units for measures and angles of objects, coordinate system, drawing a line, entering coordinates, grip points
3. Drawing entities - drawing circles, ellipses, polygons, arcs, polyline, curves.
4. Editing functions I. Editing and selecting individual objects and groups for editing. Delete, move, and copy objects in a drawing. Work with curve, curve editing.
5. Editing functions II. Crop, extend, break, and stretch objects. Chamfer and rounding of edges. Creating object fields.
6. Commandless editing. Introduction to commandless editing. Examples of nodes on different objects. Select entities to nodes. Editing by nodes. Measurement of geometric properties.
7. Layers, colors and lines. Work with layers. Layer creation. Controlling layer visibility.
8. Scaling dashed lines. Copy entity properties.
9. Working with hatches. Principles of hatching. Hatch technology. Edit hatching.
10. Working with blocks. Create a block. Save the block as a file. Inserting a block into a drawing, block layout.
11. Text style, writing line and paragraph text, working with the Properties window.
12. Principles of dimensioning, dimension elements, dimension style-format and appearance of dimensions, creation of dimensions, dimension editing.
13. Preparation of drawing for printing, creating cut-outs, work with layout, rules for printing.
