| Summary |

| The aim of the course is to introduce by form of lectures and exercises with spatial differentiation landscape, landscape features and limits of land use. Students will learn in the course of teaching methodologies Landscape Planning, evaluation of the landscape, sustainable development strategies, the legislative framework and methodology of planning in the Czech Republic and Europe. Theoretical knowledge to students acquire practical demonstrations and separate roles during exercise. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

| Students have a basic outline of the landscape and urban planning. They know the methodology of spatial planning, focusing on legislation and have an overview of terminology sustainable development of the territory and territorial system of ecological stability. Students are able to independently generally suggest, develop and publicly defended the plan territorial system of ecological stability and are able to navigate in the drawings and content of local plans. |

3. Landscape planning in the Czech Republic and in the world - methods of landscape planning, European Convention on Landscape
4. Spatial planning – objectives, legislation and tasks of spatial planning
5. Territorial planning authorities - participants and their competences
6. Spatial planning tools - spatial planning documents (territorial analytical documents, territorial studies)
7. Territorial planning tools - territorial development policy, principles of territorial development.
8. Spatial planning tools - spacial plan, regulatory plan, spacial study, spacial decision
9. Content of spatial planning documentation - the process of submitting, processing and approving a spatial plan
10. Territorial system of ecological stability - goals, principles, components of the ÚSES
11. Territorial system of ecological stability - ecologically significant segments of the landscape, skeleton of ecological stability
12. Landscaping projects and programs - programs of revitalization, renewal, landscape care
13. Assessment of the landscape character, strategy for sustainable development of the landscape. |
