Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of methods, technologies and procedures of creation and completion of spatial databases with modern methods of data collection.
Course Contents
1. Basic concepts of spatial data collection, history of creation of databases and geospatial databases in the Czech Republic and Europe.
2. Relation of spatial data collection methods to the subject of mapping and to other scientific disciplines. Development of large and medium scale mapping.
3. Basics of spatial data creation in connection with DIGEST database (MGCP) and derived databases (ZABAGED, DMU, ​​CPD and others)
4. Definition of the subject and content of data collection of purpose-built databases
5. Methods of non-graphical data collection and their relation to geodatabase elements.
6. Methods and procedures of spatial data collection by geodetic methods and specifics of this method of data collection
7. Methods and procedures of spatial data collection by photogrammetric methods and specifics of this method of data collection
8. Methods and procedures of spatial data collection by laser scanning methods and specifics of this method of data collection
9. Methods and procedures of spatial data collection by methods of remote sensing and specifics of this method of data collection.
10. Technology and organization of spatial data collection and processing
11. Verification of data accuracy from the point of view of spatial position accuracy, data guarantee, metadata and completeness of database content by direct control measurement
12. Elaboration of the project of data collection technology and its processing in all phases of the project - instructions for project creation
13. Calculation procedures of data production economy
14. Spatial data and spatial databases of the Czech Republic and Europe
