Summary
The course is focused on GNSS technology in geodetic practice, students will learn the basic principles of GNSS technology, measurement methods, factors affecting measurement accuracy, processing of measured data and making documentation using GNSS technology. The course is also acquiring practical skills with electronic leveling devices, including processing of measured data.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to acquire practical skills with instrumentation commonly used in geodetic practice. Especially GNSS devices, total stations and electronic leveling instruments.
Course Contents
1. GNSS technology in geodetic practice - basic concepts, measurement methods, technology principle.
2. Instrumentation for GNSS measurement - description of the apparatus, familiarization with control and setting.
3. Practical field measurement - fast static method with own reference station.
4. Practical field work - fast static method with reference to CZEPOS reference station.
5. Processing of static observations in Leica Geo Office - postprocessing + comparison of observations.
6. Practical field work - GNSS-RTK method with reference to CZEPOS reference stations (measuring, setting out).
7. Transformation of ETRS-89 coordinates to S-JTSK (local transformation key, global transformation key).
8. GNSS measurement documentation - GNSS point specification protocol + protocol annexes.
9. Practical field work with robotic instrumentation (Leica MS60 - multistation, robotic one-man system).
10. Electronic leveling instruments - principle, familiarization with instrumentation, control and setting.
11. Practical field measurement - geometric leveling with Leica DNA03 (exact leveling).
12. Measurement of precision leveling in Leica Geo Ofiice.
13. Theoretical questions of GNSS technology.
14. Credit test.
